This great recipe is a simple and easy cheese bread that only takes an hour to make but will leave you wanting more!

I had a hankering for a deli sandwich but I usually have it with cheese bread. Which I usually get from a few grocery store just for convenience, but this time I wanted to take a crack at it and see how it would turn out. And to my surprise it turned out really well!
After a few more experimenting I bring this recipe to the internet itself!
With the little prep time and with such a short baked
That and the fact I can now make homemade cheese bread with this easy recipe is great, and my whole family loved helping me test it so I had lots of feedback quickly. Also as a cheese lover this makes eating bread so much better!
This soft and moist quick bread is done very quickly
Since this is a quick bread there is no yeast, no having to wait for it to rise, and no hopping it does rise with this recipe.
That and when it comes out of the even it is a delicious golden brown!
What kind of Cheese can I use? Should I only use cheddar cheese?
I suggest to use old cheddar cheese if possible, since it gives the bread a better flavor. You can use medium or other kinds of cheese. Just be aware that in this recipe a lot of the flavor is from the cheese itself. So what a cheese tastes like the cheese bread will be heavily infused with that taste.
You can also use parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese or even pepper jack with the spices added in the substitution section below makes a tasty cheese bread!
Also you can use pre shredded cheese or freshly shredded, both works fine.
Substitutions
Milk
I suggest using 2% milk for this recipe, Or even buttermilk, but to use buttermilk you will have to go up to 2 cups of liquid due to how thick it is. But it will add a nice accent to the cheese flavor!
You can also use Whole milk fine with this recipe as well. But skim or non dairy milk won’t taste as good but will work in a pinch.
Flour
While the recipe uses all purpose flour you can use whole wheat flour.
Gluten free Flour
you can use a number of gluten free options in this recipe. I suggest using almond flour or one of bobs red mill gluten free flours works great since there is no yeast. Just make sure you add in the xanthan gum if the flour you use needs it.
Can I use Garlic powder and other spices?

I tested both spicing suggestions below and I have to be honest I like them both. The Spicer one has a great flavor to it warmed up in the toaster with some butter.
The half spice version is a nice soft garlic bread you can have anytime, with a little butter or as a sandwich.
After adding the spices and effectively turning the loaf into a herb bread. I can’t help but recommend this to anyone who is used to having garlic Bread or spicier food.
But how much Spice do I add?
For a nice accent to the cheese quick bread, I suggest adding 1/2 tsp of both garlic powder and Italian seasoning. This gives the loaf a soft spice that compliments the cheese bread flavor very nicely.
For a more spicy cheesy bread try adding add 1 tsp of both and it will have more of a prominent flavor.
Other additions to the bread
Adding in 2 tablespoons of ham or bacon bits would work perfectly in this bread, as it would compliment the cheese and spice. If you add any meat to the bread it needs to be stored in the fridge within two hours.
There are numerous things you can add to this cheese bread, some option are olives, sun dried tomatoes, pesto. This bread is unbelievably customizable, so have fun and add whatever works!
But I don’t have any nonstick spray, butter or margarine to grease the pan
If you don’t have any way to grease the pan you can use parchment paper and completely cover the bottom of the loaf pan.
Other uses of this homemade cheese bread
If you want to really make it spicy add 1 1/2 tsp of both to have a Very prominent spicy bread. At this point you could make this recipe as a nice side for a sauce heavy pasta dish to help eat the pasta sauce.
Recipe Notes
You can add a glazing of garlic butter to this homemade cheese bread. Just mix 1/2 cup of butter at room temperature and 2 garlic cloves in a small bowl. After the recipe is done, especially if it is still hot use a pastry brush to spread it.
